Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC)

Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) is a statutory body established to promote industrial growth in the state. Its primary role is to develop industrial estates and provide essential infrastructure such as roads, water supply, drainage, and power. GIDC has developed over 200 industrial estates and 23 Special Economic Zones (SEZs) across Gujarat, catering to sectors like chemicals, engineering, textiles, and electronics. It also facilitates land allotment, cluster development, and public-private partnerships to attract domestic and foreign investments.
